The first club forum was held since the formation of the • How the money stacks up • Initiatives • The plan – Over view • How do you tap in? • Questions So let’s deal with the Money first: • To date = £12,500 we have been awarded a total of £22k over 3 years and we have received the First £10k of this along with the £2.5k received for the setting up costs. • Guaranteed £6,000 year 2 / 3 • £16,000 over 3 years – Club & Coach Fund this is a new initiative that Jamie and the Partnership wish to explore with the clubs but will allow for coaching the juniors who are not at or receiving County Coaching. • £10,000 for 2 years – Awards For all again the partnership will be looking at this in conjunction with our RDO. Development Plan Overview Start / Recruitment • E.g. increasing awareness of grant aid, Junior Development Template, Taster sessions, women & girls, 18-40 initiatives. Stay / Retention • E.g.18-40 retention initiatives, new members buddy schemes, best practise database. Succeed / Player Development • E.g. High performance programme, club & coach funding, player pathway Coaching • E.g. coaches database, level 1 training, awareness of coaching initiatives Resources • E.g. seek additional funding sources (partnership & clubs), review the need for a CDO, national volunteer strategy, provide training opportunities (SPC, tri golf etc). Communication • E.g. website, newsletter, club forum.

There was also a small presentation on strengthen links with Real-life case studies and projects are vital to the success of our programme. We are always looking for projects for our students to undertake.
• Year 1: ‘Golf Practicum’ • Simple research projects, membership surveys, resource audits, accounting exercises • Year 2: ‘Event Management’ • Local or regional competitions, charitable events and activities • Year 4: ‘Dissertation’ and/or ‘Applied Leisure Research’ • Advanced research projects, involving large scale data collection, questionnaires, interviews, etc. |
